This week: Psalms 118 - 134
is the completely inspired Word of God and constitutes the written revelation from God to man. By completely inspired, we mean that the 66 books of the Bible are in every word inspired by God in their original autographs.
is the one living and true God, infinite and perfect in all His attributes. He is one in essence but eternally existing in three persons -- Father, Son and Holy Spirit -- each equally infinite and unchanging in being and attributes.
Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, lived a sinless and impeccable life. He died on the cross to pay for the sins of believers, rose bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended into the presence of God the Father and will return in power and glory. The purpose of the incarnation was to reveal the fullness of God to man, to seek and save lost sinners, to die a sacrifice for sin and to eventually rule a physical Kingdom.
The Holy Spirit, is God. He possesses all that is divine. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to execute and empower the divine and sovereign will of God.
in his original state, was created free from sin with a rational nature for the purpose of glorifying God. Man chose to separate himself from God and thus incurred both spiritual and physical death for himself and mankind. The condition of fallen man from birth is that of darkness of mind, depravity of will, and death in the soul. Man by nature is dead to God and unable to save himself apart from the intervention of the Holy Spirit.
is entirely the work of God and not man. This salvation was pre determined before the foundation of the world; it was Christ's redemptive work that atoned for man's sin as He carried believers' guilt. Men are saved and justified on the grounds of Christ's death alone, by God's grace alone, through faith alone.
will occur physically for both those who have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and those who have not. The saved will be resurrected to an eternal state of joy with God, the unsaved to eternal punishment and suffering without God.
Life is a ministry. Another word for ministry is service. The Bible tells us that we are to serve one another and live serving God.
Preparing men by proclaiming Christ through studying God's Word together. Meeting for regular times of Bible study and prayer together.
The women of Calvary seek to encourage and build up one another and to do so more and more in the Bible studies, brunches, and informal get togethers.
Every member of Calvary is a youth minister. This year various members have hosted evening in their homes to enjoy God through His Word together.
We desire to see the next generation set their hope in God and not forget His works, but keep His commandments (Psalm 78:5-7). Children's Church and special days throughout the year are planned with this biblical aim
We are committed to global gospel growth beginning here in Northeastern Ohio and spreading to the uttermost parts of the earth through a missionary staff investing in people, overseas teaching trips and local community outreach."
Fellowship is the sharing in the life of Christ together. We do this by ministering the Word to one another through spending time learning and growing together.
These groups are small, around ten people in homes for about 6 weeks praying together, asking questions, and seeking those answers from God's Word.
Discipling is to be found in Bible studies, in small goups, but also in one-to-one relationships; the older with the younger, being taught healthy doctrine (Titus 2).
We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 to pray for the morning worship and each Wednesday evenings at 7:00. In the Gospel the disciples never asked Jesus, "Teach us to preach". But they did ask, "Teach us to pray". When we pray, God moves his hand. We pray adoring God; confessing who he is and who we are; giving thanks and bringing to God our heartfelt petitions.
Read through Pastor's sermon notes as he studies and grows through Gods word in preperation to teach biblical truth.
Enjoy fellowship in song and worship. View Sunday's worship order created by our worship director Sharon.
